Messina Restaurant, tradition merged with the best cuisine

 Tags: Lujo

Besides having received its first Michelin star this year, Messina Restaurant boasts other recognitions, such as the honor of being one of the top ten restaurants in creative cuisine of Spain and Restaurant of the Year 2016 by the Culinary Academy of Marbella, among others.

This restaurant is located on the main avenue of Marbella. After ten years of dedication, chef Mauricio Giovanini, has turned it into a benchmark of Mediterranean fusion cuisine in the Costa del Sol.

Pure vanguard

Messina is a perfect mixture of sensations, where urban architectural design and excellent creative cuisine go hand in hand.

The restaurant venue has large windows that give way to an elegant diaphanous and minimalist interior, in which several red sofas are accompanied by dim light and pleasant music.

But undoubtedly the real protagonist is the vanguard Mediterranean cuisine, which is presented in simple and elegant dishes brimming with great technical quality.

Messina cuisine

Messina Restaurant plays with original combinations of flavours that merge into succulent and delicious recipes. Signature dishes that bring together influences from various cuisines such as American, Oriental or the more traditional one. Dishes that modify typical recipes of the gastronomy of Malaga, such as ajoblanco (cold almond and garlic cream) or gazpachuelo (a delicious fish soup), combined with innovative elements.

Tasting menus at Messina

In Messina you can enjoy two tasting menus for a complete dining experience:

  • Tasting Menu: You'll find signature creations, such as micuit hedgehog and celery root water; Marbella manta ray; Malaga suckling goat neck, crunchy payoyo (a magnificent Andalusian cheese) and yoghurt or thai toast.
  • Messina Menu: A more complete menu that perfectly reflects the style of this restaurant with dishes such as eel, cold dashi and foie gras; the semi dried scallop, fresh turmeric and shitake emulsion; or the Iberian jowl, white beans and oriental peppers juice. And last but not least, the sweet touch of chocolate, pistachio and banana sour cream.

You can also choose from an original menu of waters, a field of gastronomy that is gradually becoming popular.
