Water Festival
Just like every year in the month of August, the town of Jimena de Líbar will hold its traditional water Festival. For this event residents organise battles with buckets of water in the town’s streets, making this a great festival that’s also the perfect way to combat the heat.
Throughout the day, the people take part in a wide variety of activities in which the main feature is water. What’s more, tastings of wines and traditional local products may be enjoyed. To bring the festival to a close, a big evening celebration will take place in the town square.
