Big concerts in Málaga: From Alejandro Sanz to Elton John
Highlights in Málaga's summer programme include three legends of pop and Latin music: Alejandro Sanz, Elton John and Marc Anthony, who will come to the capital of the Costa del Sol to show a little bit of their talent and urge us to shake our bodies to the beat of their greatest hits.
The first to come to the Costa del Sol will be Elton John. He will be at the José María Martín Carpena Sports Hall in Málaga City on 15 July. Two days later, on 17 July, Marc Anthony will be at the Cortijo de Torres Town Concert Hall, also in the capital of the Costa del Sol.
Last but not least, Alejandro Sanz will perform twice on the Costa del Sol this summer: at the Starlite Festival in Marbella on 20 August and in Málaga City on 22 September.
Stars in Starlite
Alejandro Sanz will not be the only star performing at Marbella's Starlite Festival this year. A highlight of Málaga's summer, it will include many other international stars.
On 22 July, for instance, Lenny Kravitz will be in Marbella, followed by Lionel Richie on 29 July and Melendi on 3 August.
Also in Marbella but off Starlite, DJ David Guetta will put on one of his shows on 1 August.
Charming festival in the Cave of Nerja
Summer music in the province goes well beyond Málaga and Marbella. Another iconic summer event on the Costa del Sol is the Cave of Nerja International Dance and Music Festival, which is holding its 56th edition this year.
Taking place in the unrivalled setting of the Nerja Cave, this festival has welcomed the likes of Alfredo Kraus, Paco de Lucía and Bebo Valdés. This year, big names include that of Pablo Alborán, whose concert will be on 5 July.
