During the summer, the nights take on a special appearance in the province of Malaga. Outdoor soirees, strolls along the shore, terraces with city views, and a cultural programme with many different events and a common goal: to enjoy the pleasant summer nights on the Costa del Sol.
Antequera by moonlight
Antequera offers a full programme of night-time activities in the ‘Antequera by Moonlight’ programme: a sensorial dinner at the Royal Collegiate Church of Santa María la Mayor, a night-time theatrical route set in the Spanish Gold Age, the ‘Fantasy nights of La Alcazaba’, trekking by moonlight... Another of the more tempting options is the ‘Route of the senses at dusk’ in El Torcal de Antequera, where sight, smell, touch, hearing and taste are the guides. The next planned visits are to take place on 29 July, 19 August and 2 September, although visits for private groups are also available.
Theatrical night visits to the Botanical Garden
The La Concepción Botanical Garden is one of those places that leaves none of its visitors indifferent. A place were hundreds of plant species from all over the work coexist. Over the summer, you have the chance to discover it in a very unique way through its theatrical night visits. Every Wednesday and Thursday during July and August, until 7 September.
Stargazing
The Molina Lario Hotel offers an unbeatable experience: stargazing from its terrace by the company Astroandalus. This is the same company that organises stargazing in other areas of the province, such as in the town of Alfarnate. El Torcal de Antequera also offer you the chance to explore the stars from its astronomica observatory.
Starlite Marbella
Starlite Marbella not only offers concerts, but you can also enjoy fashion, films and a new gourmet area that promises to delight diners. All this on a wonderful natural quarry under the Marbella skies. The Festival can be enjoyed until 26 August.
“Roman Theatres of Andalusia” Festival
One of the most special evenings of the summer in Malaga is the Roman Theatres Festival, with a series of evening performances in the unique framework of the Roman Theatre being held in the capital city of the Costa del Sol. It can be enjoyed until 5 August.
