The month of June is upon us and with it come new events and activities to enjoy in Malaga. If you feel like going to the theatre, you have several interesting works to choose from; if you’d rather go to a concert, don’t miss the most "symphonic" Raphael; and if you want to experience the joy of Malaga’s traditional festivals, your destination will be the Antequera Spring Fair. This is just a taster... don’t miss our suggestions!
Festivals and Fairs
Antequera Spring Fair
Antequera is celebrating its Spring Fair this weekend. Performances from Antonio Carmona and Javier Ojeda will provide entertainment in the evenings, and for the younger ones there will be activities like “Toy Musical. The Story”.
Music
Concert: Raphael Sinphonico (Symphonic Raphael)
After a performing career of more than 50 years, Raphael still has new surprises for his current tour: the artist is playing his greatest hits accompanied by a symphony orchestra, giving his songs an even more special aura. Unmissable.
Theatre
Tristana
This weekend you can enjoy one of Benito Pérez Galdós’ most iconic works. Although set in the nineteenth century, the similarities with the current times and modern society are evident.
Sport
Unicaja Colour Road
The Unicaja Colour Road is a very special race. It’s run over five kilometres and participants are sprayed with coloured powders during the race. Guaranteed fun!
Exhibitions
Exhibition: “Jia Aili”
Jia Aili is currently one of the most famous emerging Chinese artists. His work can be admired in Malaga’s Contemporary Art Centre until 18 June, in an exhibition that gathers together some thirty works.
