Don’t you have plans for this weekend at Costa del Sol yet? You will find many proposals in our leisure guide to enjoy your stay at this touristic destination. Below, we propose some plans that will not disappoint you.
International comic fair: FreakCon
On March 3rd and 4th the second edition of FreakCon, the International Convention of Manga, Comics, TV Shows, Animation and Videogames comes to Málaga. The event will take place at Palacio de Ferias y Congresos. Exhibition Area, Japanese Comic, Manga and Anime, TV Shows and Movies, Conference Area, Stage and Videogames Area are some of the proposals on this new edition, aiming to turn Málaga into the national capital of popular culture and entertainment. You can’t miss it!
Art: ‘Art Walk’ Cómpeta
Art and live music lovers are invited to come to Cómpeta tomorrow, where they could see a wide variety of art exhibitions in different locations of this Málaga village. The ‘Art Walk’ grows year by year, as well as the expectations about this event. Some of the participating artists come from this town or the surroundings, while the others travel from their home countries exclusively to participate in this artistic event. This is a must!
Exhibition: Y Fellini Soñó con Picasso (And Fellini dreamt about Picasso)
Another great plan for this weekend is to visit the Museo Picasso Málaga, where there is a new temporary exhibition until May, 13th: ‘Y Fellini soñó con Picasso’ (‘And Fellini dreamt about Picasso’). It includes a selection of the Italian director’s drawings, movies, photos and other documents, along with Pablo Picasso’s paintings, sculptures and drawings, showing the sensibilities and obsessions that both artists had in common. This exhibition, curated by Audrey Norcia, PhD in History of Art, presents different dilemmas, such as transgression, sexuality, exaltation of life, exuberance and metamorphosis, this last one sometimes presented in a surrealistic way in singular situations.
