If you are looking for an original and fun experience to enjoy Christmas as a family, you are going to love Juzcar, a place in the inland Malaga also known as the Smurf village.
A fairy tale village
Located in a privileged spot of the Serrania de Ronda, everything in this locality is blue, from the Town Hall to the shops or the church. And of course Christmas is blue as well!
The streets of the municipality are already prepared to celebrate the most smoldering holidays of its history with an incredible lighting that illuminates the blue houses of the town. This year, singer Edurne was in charge of inaugurating Christmas in Júzcar in an event that has served to announce the third film of these characters and that will be released in March 2017: 'The Smurfs: The Hidden Village'.
The Smurfs are here to stay
Juzcar celebrated the beginning of the worldwide promotion of the other two films of the saga: 'The Smurfs 3D' and 'The Smurfs 2' with the attendance of footballer Andres Iniesta and model and presenter Eva Gonzalez. Since then, the facades of the municipality have been repainted with their characteristic blue color and have renewed some of its unique elements.
A very special decoration made up of lights and garlands will welcome all visitors that stop by the small town during these holidays. This Christmas atmosphere not only is in the streets of the village, but also extends to all establishments and houses.
In addition, you can enjoy other special activities during these dates, such as the Christmas Market, children's workshops to make up like a Smurf, or shows with the protagonists of these cartoon characters.
And if you are a lover of gastronomy, you can opt for “the smurf routes”, where you will taste the best sweets in the local cuisine during these holidays, such as the “torcidos”, wine bread rolls and doughnut.
You can’t leave without going through the steep streets of this mountain town, where the smallest members of the family will have a great time with their favourite characters.
