Puente Nuevo bridge over the Tajo Gorge in Ronda

It is no exaggeration to say that Ronda is one of the most romantic places in the world. See for yourself by starting your visit at Puente Nuevo, the new bridge over Ronda's Tajo Gorge, the city's most famous landmark. It is located right in the centre and close to one hundred metres high. The scenic observation points, or miradors, in Plaza de España or Calle Ernest Hemmingway, just at the start of the new part of Ronda, are the best places to take in the full splendour of the bridge. A visit to the Interpretation Centre is recommended to find out all about its history.

 

Mirador de Juanar, Ojén

This beautiful scenic observation point, or mirador, is in Ojén, surrounded by a lush pine forest in the heart of the Sierra Blanca mountains, and with spectacular mountain and sea views. It can be reached by car, following the signs on the A355 to the Refugio de Juanar. After parking it is a short walk to this viewpoint through a wood of chestnut and wild olive trees. The footpath is easy to follow and suitable for everyone.
