Poza de la Virgen trail
There is a trail which goes from Tolox's spa and ends into one of the Sierra de las Nieves most incredible waterfalls, the Poza de la Virgen one-. This tour runs always parallel to Caballos river, and even when it is a really easy path, we must pay attention to markers. It is a very winding trail!
Canillas de Aceituno. El Saltillo
In Canillas de Aceituno begins an exciting trail, which runs through the Axarquía mountains hillsides and ends next to the Almanchares river. At the last section we will find el Saltillo, a beautiful walkway, and when arriving to the river, we can enjoy several pools and waterfalls.
Ascent to El Santo
We travel to Pizarra to climb el Santo! We can do this trail in a linear way or circular one. Anyway, the first section is inclined, through a trail with amazing rocks, perfect- for taking pictures. After crossing a thick pine wood, we will find the Sagrado Corazón image, known among locals as El Santo. You will have splendid views over the Guadalhorce river from there. A perfect place to find yourself!
Benaoján station - Cueva del Gato
Are you looking for an easy but beautiful trail? We can walk the less-than-5-kilometre tour which separates Benaoján station from the Cueva del Gato (Cat Cave), one of the Sierra de Grazalema most important spots. We could take there excellent photos from the waterfall and the crystalline pool. We will have the Guadiaro river’ s reference during the whole walk. Are you up for it?
Ascent to El Hacho
We propose you to climb one of the most iconic peaks of the region, El Hacho in Álora. Its 500 metres high can seem not too much, but they are enough to enjoy a great view over Álora and its castle. The climbing is not really difficult, what makes this trail perfect to be walked with the family.
Trail from El Colmenar to the Guadiaro vultures' nests
We walk again next to Guadiaro river this time. One of the region most amazing tours begins at El Colmenar and ends in-- the Guadiaro vultures' nests gorge, called so since it is very common to see Griffon vultures flying through the sky. An amazing spectacle!
