A biking tour through Málaga

 Tags: Culture

Málaga, the Costa del Sol's capital, is probably the Spanish town with the best quality of life. A warm weather and the fact that almost all its streets are pedestrian and without slopes, make of this a perfect town to enjoy a charming biking trip. Leave you car parked and dive into this tour that we propose you where you could visit the most highlighted places in the city. Do you join?

Plaza de la Marina

Let's start! The Plaza de la Marina (Marina square) is one of the most important squares in the city. We propose you to start at this point because there you will find a bike station to take one and start the tour. The Tourist Central Office is also there, with more than 200 m2 available for visitors to deal with any request.

Parque de Málaga

Our next destination is just few metres away! The Parque de Málaga is the town's main park. It is a 30.000 m2 botanical garden where you will find the largest Europe's tropical flora collection. You could enjoy marvellous sculptures, a pond... Even an open air auditorium!

Playa de la Malagueta

Welcome to the most town's famous beach! Very closed to the city centre, this is the most visited beach by tourists, who walk around its 1,200 metres to sunbath or swim into its water. If you go along the beach promenade, you will arrive to Pedregalejo, where there is the possibility of tasting the famous pescaíto frito of Málaga (varied fried fish) at any of its chiringuitos.

Muelle Uno

Our next stop is Muelle Uno! Located at Málaga's harbour, the area has become an open air shopping centre, which hosts many bars and restaurants, as well as shops and exclusive boutiques to enjoy a wonderful walk with sea views.

Jardines de Pedro Luis Alonso

Our last destination is Jardines de Pedro Luis Alfaro. These gardens are usually unnoticed by many tourists, although they are very closed to the Town Council. Full of orange trees, the place is flooded with orange blossom smell during the Spring time. An incredible spectacle for senses!

But that's not all! From the gardens you could enjoy one of the best views of the Alcazaba, a fortress from Muslim time, which has dominated the city for years.
