Unique gastronomic festivals in November in the villages of the Costa del Sol
The month of November is, without a doubt, a perfect time to visit the inland villages, where every corner offers a different experience. From the Serranía de Ronda to the Axarquía, the festivities in the month of November are a celebration of good living, flavour and encounter.
A fundamental event takes place in Campillos, where the Ham Fair turns the José María Hinojosa park into an open-air gastronomic market. Exhibitors from all over Andalusia offer artisanal products such as cheeses, sweets and cured meats, with ham as the real protagonist. It is one of the most anticipated fairs in the province of Malaga of the year, perfect for savouring autumn with every bite.

In the Axarquía, Colmenar celebrates the Festival of Must and Sausage, a day marked by the aroma of new wine and the products of the slaughter. Cheeses, cured meats, sweets and olive oil are combined with performances and competitions in an event that sums up the essence of Malaga's autumn.
Also in the region of Axarquía, Totalán pays tribute to its most traditional dish on Chanfaina Day, a recipe made with potatoes, oil, vinegar and spices, which is distributed among the attendees on a day where there is no shortage of verdials, exhibitions and activities for the whole family.

In the Sierra de las Nieves, Ojén celebrates the Tostón Festival, a much-loved tradition that has its origin in the days of chestnut harvesting. Families and groups of friends gather to enjoy roasted chestnuts and brandy in a festive atmosphere that combines countryside, fire and friendship.
For its part, Yunquera combines flavour and tradition with the Chestnut and Wine Festival, where the streets of the town are filled with stalls, music and tastings. Roasted chestnuts, local wine and the typical dish, malcocinao, are the stars of this day that celebrates the products of the land and the spirit of the mountain.

In Parauta, the Rabbit Festival is a culinary and social experience. The streets are filled with music, color and aroma of rice with rabbit, which the neighbors prepare in large paella pans to share with all the attendees. At the foot of Grazalema, and bordering the province of Cádiz, Cortes de la Frontera hosts the Mycological Conference, one of the most eagerly awaited fairs held in November by nature lovers. Guided tours, identification workshops and tastings around the world of mushrooms make this event a unique experience to connect with the environment.

Gastronomy is also the protagonist in nearby Benaoján, where the Chacina Fair becomes a tribute to artisanal sausages and the meat tradition of the town. Tastings, music and good atmosphere fill its streets, offering an authentic experience in the heart of the Serranía.
A few kilometres away, Atajate celebrates its traditional Fiesta del Mosto, an event that recovers the old winemaking tradition of the municipality.
