Why Torremolinos?

Torremolinos is one of the emblems of the transformation of the Malaga coast. It was especially from the 60s, when the world laid eyes on a place that had everything and began to fall in love with the Costa del Sol. In those years, locals could see both national and international glamorous celebrities walking through their streets and swimming in their beaches, such as Orson Welles, Elizabeth Taylor, Ava Gardner and Frank Sinatra.

That charm is still present in Torremolinos, a municipality that is a symbol of the celebration of life, discovery and freedom. In fact, this town never sleeps. There are many beachfront properties in the areas of Los Alamos and Playamar and in La Nogalera you will find a wide range of bars and nightclubs. Furthermore, Torremolinos is one of the most important gay friendly destinations in Europe.

Leisure plans in this town are many and varied. Torremolinos has the largest water park in the whole province, Aqualand, a prominent attraction especially for those travelling with family. Nearby too is Cocodrilos Park, which gathers more than 260 specimens of these reptiles.

Here you can also enjoy the popular culture, attend flamenco shows, watch Andalusian horses prancing in El Ranchito Centre and discover the world of bullfighting.

The location of Torremolinos, in the heart of the Costa del Sol, makes it very easy to visit other nearby towns, such as Marbella, Benalmadena and Malaga.
