This weekend is the Pedro Romero Festival of Ronda with its traditional Corrida Goyesca bullfight, which takes place from Monday the 28th of August to Sunday the 3rd of September. Pedro Romero Festival and Fair
Ronda dresses up to celebrate the occasion of its traditional Pedro Romero Festival. The main attraction of the fair, which begins on the 28th and which is celebrated to honour the bullfighter from Ronda who gives it its name, is the Corrida Goyesca bullfight which takes place this Saturday in the town’s bullring, one of the oldest of its kind in Spain. On this day, thousands of people visit the municipality to witness a unique event in the world of bullfighting.

Fifth Malaga Biennial Flamenco Festival
This weekend you can catch the last activities of the Fifth Malaga Biennial Flamenco Festival. The final gala will be held on the 9th of September and will be the crowning touch to this superb event which has seen more than 300 artists tour around many of the Costa del Sol’s municipalities.

Grape Harvest Festival, Manilva
This Saturday, the municipality of Manilva will celebrate its traditional Grape Harvest Festival. With the grape harvesting period over, the residents of the town come out onto its streets to witness the treading of the grapes. 5th Charity Sea Crossing Race, Torrox Lighthouse
This weekend you can use your free time to partake in a little sport. On Sunday, Torrox will hold its 5th sea crossing race. The event, which is held in aid of the Association of Friends of Anzalo in Bolivia, will take place at Ferrara Beach and participation is open to all. The town of Alameda will hold another of this weekend’s sporting events, its 6th San Isidro de Alameda race. If you are a fan of running you simply must take part in this urban circuit which is 7 kilometres in length.
