Mijas Golf Club: the perfect setting with two courses in one
Mijas Golf is one of the most popular places in the province of Malaga to enjoy golf. It boasts two different courses within the same enclosure: the first course, Los Lagos, founded in 76 with wide spaces, is a test of golf that tests the skills of the most demanding players. Los Olivos, on the other hand, is somewhat shorter but finds a great defence in its small and winding greens.

Pro-Am Felipe Perez Tournament in Favour of the Solidarios Association
The Association for People with Intellectual Disabilities of Mijas (ADIMI) has already benefited from the contributions of the Pro-Am Felipe Pérez, a charity tournament held every summer in Mijas. This past summer, it reached its IX edition with funds raised for the Association “Solidarios.” This golf tournament in Mijas, held on 5 and 6 August, brought together more than 250 players and raised almost 3,000 euros to help people in need.
Blas Fernández Memorial Golf Tournament “Un Sí por la Vida” (A Yes for Life)
Mijas Golf (Malaga) has also been the venue for the three golf tournaments in benefit of Un Sí por la Vida - Unidos Contra el Cáncer. The third edition of this tournament took place in Mijas on 9 July 2022 with donations of up to 65 euros destined to patients with this disease. The name of the tournament is a tribute to the Mijas farm worker Blas Fernández, who died of cancer in 2002.

Golf Tournament for the Asociación Ayuda contra el Cáncer
The Los Lagos golf course in Mijas also hosts an annual charity tournament in aid of the Asociación Ayuda contra el Cáncer. In 2022, the event will take place on the 3rd of December. At Mijas Golf, charity tournaments are not just for one month or one year, but for several months of the year and held each year. If in 2021 the 24th edition of the Antonia Cortés Fernández (Ninou) Golf Tournament was celebrated with great success, the 25th edition in 2022 will be no different.
Real Madrid Foundation Tournament
Finally, we wanted to close the article with one of the most awaited charity tournaments of Mijas Golf Club: the Real Madrid Foundation Tournament. After passing through Madrid, Alicante and Almeria, Costa del Sol had to host an event of this calibre. The chosen course and date? Los Lagos on 21 September 2022. What is at stake is none other than a place in Vall D'or’s final on 23 October, in addition, of course, to contributions to the social and sporting work promoted by the Real Madrid Foundation.
