The Estrella Damm NA Andalucía Masters, also known as the Valderrama Masters, has been part of the European Tour Race to Dubai since 2010. Named an “event of exceptional public interest” by the Spanish government, the event will bring together some of the very best players in the world from the 14 to the 17 October, thanks to the work of Estrella Damm, the Andalusia tourist board, the European Tour and Real Club Valderrama.
The world number one, Jon Rahm, will be at the event, as well as the recent winner of the Open de España (held at Club de Campo Villa in Madrid), Rafa Cabrera-Belloserá. The Andalucía Valderrama Masters is the final tournament to be contested on European soil this season, as the circuit then moves to China for the WGC-HSBC Champions and the Volvo China Open before hopping over to Dubai to bring the calendar to a close with the DP World Tour Championship, the grand final of the European Tour.

In the previous edition of the Valderrama Masters, John Catlin was victorious, competing against a world-class group of rivals, headed by Martin Kaymer, winner of two majors and former world number one. Catlin secured his title as winner of the tournament, which had no audience due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but which was an all-round success.
