Located close to some of the best courses in the Costa del Golf, Nerja is a fantastic choice of destination if you’re planning a golf holiday. Although it currently doesn’t have its own course, work has started on what will become the very first golf resort in Nerja, a true paradise for golf lovers. In this post, we’re going to tell you all the details about the project as well as information about two other courses close to the town which promise a truly unique golf experience in the Costa del Golf.

Golf Nerja

Baviera Golf

Just 24km from Nerja, in Vélez – Málaga sits Baviera Golf: an 18-hole course designed by José María Cañizares that opened in 2001. More technical and complicated than the first 9 holes, the second 9 opened in 2002. In fact, Baviera Golf functions as two distinct courses, giving it a certain appeal. The water obstacles, in the form of lakes and rivers, are an important part of the course. The social club has just opened a great restaurant in the club house, as well as a snack bar next to the practice course. It also has an academy (with a golf programme for people with any kind of disability), sauna, jacuzzi, golf shop and even personalised club service.

Añoreta Golf

Opened in 1990, Añoreta Golf is located in the municipality of Rincón de la Victoria, 37km from Nerja. The 18-hole course was designed by José María Cañizares and extends for 5,833m from hole to hole. There are five lakes, which, like the greens, have a number of platforms that offer a wide range of pin positions. Añoreta Golf is suitable for all skill levels as it offers a varied game with incredible views over the Mediterranean, as it is just a kilometre from the coast. Its services include a restaurant, golf shop, practice area with academy, 4 padel courts and private parking.
