It’s perfectly possible to enjoy a round of golf in winter on the Costa del Sol. In fact, there are many places where you can find top class golf courses, such as:
La Axarquía
In the area of La Axarquía, we present Baviera Golf and Añoreta Golf. They both enjoy an ideal microclimate for this sport throughout the year and were designed by one of Spain’s premier golfers: José María Cañizares.
Bavaria Golf, in Vélez Málaga, near the beaches of Caleta de Vélez and Nerja, has 18 holes. The wide greens, with plenty of movement and various obstacles, mean it adapts to different levels.
Añoreta Golf, on the other hand, in Rincón de la Victoria offers a challenging course, also with 18 holes along 6 km, with bermuda-grass greens and views of the Mediterranean.
Antequera
In the city of Antequera we find Antequera Golf, next to the El Torcal Nature Park. It is a challenging golf course, ecologically integrated in the landscape and surrounded by protected species.
This 18-hole course is an ideal place to test your skills, overcoming the challenges of your handicap. In addition, Antequera Golf organises more than 20 tournaments a year and offers the option of special packages in its luxurious 4-star hotel.
It’s a great opportunity to experience premium quality golf in an exclusive setting.

We should also mention the Real Club Guadalhorce Golf course, just 10 minutes from the centre of Malaga and 5 minutes from the airport, almost 6,300 metres long with 18 holes.
