Located in the coastal town of Manilva, La Duquesa Golf is a sophisticated 18-hole course nestled in stunning surroundings and affording views over the Mediterranean Sea. La Duquesa Golf Club

Designed by the great Robert Trent Jones and opened in 1986, this impressive course is defined by its wide fairways and incredible holes that are perfect for all levels of play. And as if that weren’t enough, La Duquesa Golf offers extensive views over the Mediterranean, La Duquesa marina, Gibraltar and the surrounding mountains. Can you imagine a better backdrop for a round or two of your favourite sport?

The course

La Duquesa Golf Club offers players a varied course thanks, in part, to the generous width of the fairways. The course has two clearly defined parts. The first 9 holes are British-style with narrow fairways and raised greens. The 4th is a beautiful par-4 hole affording stunning views but whose difficulty may be felt on players’ score cards.

The final 9 holes with their wide fairways are, on the other hand, somewhat easier, though they do present difficulties elsewhere. Hole 17 best defines this part of the course. With stunning views, the par-3 has an elevated tee and no fairway as such, posing a challenge for all levels of player.

Several hundred olive trees have been planted throughout La Duquesa golf course in Manilva, bringing a Mediterranean touch to the course. The roughs are difficult and, as if that weren’t enough, players have to contend with the Poniente wind and the many bunkers in the greens.

La Duquesa Golf: more than a golf course

Beyond enjoying a round of golf at its world-class course, La Duquesa Golf offers members a range of relaxation and other sports facilities, such as tennis courts, and indoor and outdoor pools. The club also houses a pro-shop, driving range, approach zone, putting green, buggies, trolleys and other services, such as the clubhouse with its restaurant, café, dressing rooms, saunas, steam rooms, jacuzzi and meeting rooms. And there’s more. At hole 10, there is a hotel where players can regain their strength after an intense game of golf without even leaving the course.
