What to see and do in Ronda... after a game of golf

As mentioned at the start, Ronda is a popular destination thanks to its rich history, beautiful architecture and incredible gastronomy. But what has put Ronda on the map is its world-famous bridge Puente Nuevo which connects the town’s ancient neighbourhoods, and towers over the impressive El Tajo gorge, offering spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. In addition to the breathtaking views on the bridge, visitors can also walk along one of the many footpaths that provide yet more excellent views, this time panoramic vistas of Ronda and the landscape it resides in.

The Plaza de Toros is another iconic site in Ronda as it is the oldest bull ring in Spain and one of the most important in the world of bullfighting. Visitors can explore the Museo Taurino inside the bullring and learn more about the history and culture of bullfighting in Spain.

Casa del Rey Moro is also a great place of tourist interest in Ronda. This historic building is a wonderful mix of architectural styles and has been witness to many significant events in the town that have taken place throughout history. You can wander around the gardens of the mansion, and walk down the famous stairway Escalera del Agua which leads you into a natural cave that was used as an escape route during the Reconquista.
