Weeks before Christmas Eve, some golf clubs and resorts in Malaga host very special events. One of these dates is the Alhaurin Christmas Golf Tournament, located in the Guadalhorce Valley. A charming event in which participants can even taste Malaga's sweet wine, while enjoying a fantastic par 72 course that was designed by the legendary Spanish golfer Severiano Ballesteros.
However, if you prefer to bid farewell to 2016 the best way possible, come to Mijas, a municipality in which more than 14,000 Britons live. La Cala Golf Resort in Mijas celebrates its traditional Year End Tournament on 31 December. It is considered one of the best competitions by couples of the Costa del Sol and is disputed in the Asia course, designed by the North American architect Cabell Robinson. A challenge even for the most demanding players.

Enjoying an exclusive Christmas dinner, attending sports events or participating in charity galas are some of the options offered by the golf resorts of the Costa del Sol.
