Events aimed at all levels and tournaments organised to satisfy the hunger for competition. These are some proposals of the main golf courses of the Costa del Sol to bid farewell to the spring and welcome the summer. Here, neither age, handicap, nor skills are impediments to enjoy your favourite sport.
Golf for all profiles and levels
During the summer, the Costa del Sol will organise two of the scoring competitions for the Andalusian Ranking of players aged over 50. These are the Torneos Senior, which will be held on the 24th of June and the 9th of July 9 in the courses of Calanova Golf Club of Mijas and Añoreta Golf in Rincon de la Victoria.
Golf to suit all tastes on the Costa del Sol
The second weekend of July, attention switches to Valle Romano Golf & Resort. With a privileged location between the sea and the mountains, it is the venue for the Campeonato Internacional de Andalucia de Dobles. It will take place a month before this famous resort of Estepona receives the contestants of the Circuito Corporate 2017, which runs through the best clubs of Spain.
Meanwhile, the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina in Marbella will host the Memorial Norberto Goizueta WAGR between the 27th and the 30th of July. While Alhaurin Golf will host, among other events, the Puntuable Andaluz Pitch & Putt (23rd of July), the Torneo Andalucia Golf Challenge (5th of August) and a particular version of the Ryder Cup (26th of August).
The calendar of big summer events will be completed with the final of the Circuito de Profesionales RFGA-APGA, scheduled for the 7th of August at the Guadalhorce Club de Golf, and the Trofeo Jose Banus, to be played on the 26th of that month at the Real Club Las Brisas.
For little golfers
Throughout the summer, the Costa del Golf also organises competitions where kids are the protagonists. This is the case of the Campeonato de Andalucia Sub-16 y Benjamin P&P that takes place in July in the Miguel Angel Jimenez academy or the Campeonato de España Interclubes Infantil that arrives in August to the Club de Golf Guadalhorce.
