With more than 50 participants in the singles line-up and a total of 36 sets in the team variant, the Aramco Team Series of Sotogrande 2022 has ended, leaving behind excellent moments in Costa del Sol. Here are some of the tournament’s most decisive moments: the double presence of the American Korda duo on the podium, a great performance of the Malaga Ana Pelaez and the countdown to next year's Solheim Cup (to be held at the Finca Cortesin facilities). Discover the results of the Aramco Team Series and the impact of this masterful event.
Deserved Victory for the Korda Sisters
The Ladies European Tour is obliged to pay a well-deserved tribute to the Korda sisters, who took first and second place this year. American golfers Nelly and Jessica Korda showed power and dominance throughout the event, from 18 to 20 August at the La Reserva de Sotogrande course; they ended up leaving their mark (Nelly in the individual and Jessica in the team tournament).

Nelly Korda, the current world number three and gold medalist at the Tokyo Olympics, not only beat the rest of the Aramco Team Series players, but also her own sister in a heart-stopping final. Jessica Korda, who was in great form and had just won the team trophy of the Aramco de Sotogrande itself, was surprised in the third and final round by her younger sister and ended up saying goodbye to the victory with 77 strokes when she was at the gates of winning both the team and individual championship.
Malaga’s Ana Pelaez: Second Place
Malaga’s Ana Pelaez took the shared second position of the Aramco Team Series Golf Leaderboard Sotogrande, with the same strokes as Jessica Korda and Pauline Roussin. Thanks to her bold and intelligent game, this second place consolidates Pelaez as a reference in international women's golf. And it does so with a curious coincidence: it was on the course of La Reserva de Sotogrande, in the 2021 Aramco Team Series, where her debut as a professional took place just a year before.
Ana Pelaez, along with other Spanish golfers who also displayed their game at La Reserva such as Maria Hernandez, Carmen Alonso, Carlota Ciganda and Nuria Iturrios, is already preparing (with the incentive of that deserved second place) for the next Aramco Team Series of golf, which will be held in New York from 13 to 15 October. What will her game have in store for us both in the American event and the final in Jeddah? Be sure to follow her to find out!

Countdown to the 2023 Solheim Cup
In addition to having first class golf facilities, La Reserva de Sotogrande has the added attraction of being located just 20 kilometres from Finca Cortesin in the Malaga municipality of Casares. It will host the Solheim Cup in 2023, a highly anticipated international competition in the province of Malaga.
The same birdies, strokes and putts that have been seen on the greens of La Reserva during this Aramco Team Series will make the Solheim Cup a golden appointment. The tournament, set for September 2023 in the ever popular Costa del Sol, will host European and American teams searching for victory.
Costa del Sol: a destination with everything
The quantity of renowned tournaments held in Malaga’s golf courses, like Aramco itself, the Santander Golf Tour, the Ruta 21, the Volvo World Match Play Championship or the Pro-Am, only continue to consolidate the Costa del Sol as one of the most valued destinations for golfers around the world. Come and discover the wonderful climate of Malaga while you practise your golfing skills!
