Museums tour

Are you ready to go into the best museums in the world? Our first stop can be on Muelle Uno, the  Pompidou Center. Its unique cube is the introduction for this museum which offers a tour through the 20th and 21st century art, a permanent exhibition with almost 90 pictures, one of the most important collection in the world. Other unmissable museum is the Museo Carmen Thyssen, located at the Palacio Villalón, with a permanent collection composed by 230 works of the 19th century Spanish art.

If you prefer a trip to the Prehistory, Museo de Málaga is your best option. More than 2,000 archaeological pieces, paintings and sculptures, together into an astonishing neoclassical building.

Would you like to know about life and work of one of the ever greatest artists? You will find two museums about this Málaga genius at the town historical centre: one of them is the Museo Picasso, and the other one, the Museo Casa Natal de Picasso.

Next stop... Russia! The world's largest Russian art collection, with more than 400,000 pieces , is at the Museo Estatal Ruso de San Petersburgo.

To finish... Do you like contemporary art? The Centro de Arte Contemporáneo (CAC) is your place. Located at the old Málaga Trade Market, declared Asset of Cultural Interest. The CAC's purpose is to spread the 20th and 21st century visual arts, being the first centre and art museum in Spain which has obtained the international quality certification.

Plaza de la Marina

The Plaza de la Marina will be one of the centres during the next Noche en Blanco. The activities will start with the dance on stilts spectacle Mulïer, performed by the theatre company Maduixa, five Valencia female dancers, who were award-winning with two Max prizes in 2017.

This square will also host the performance Big Dancers, of the company El Carromato. An incredible spectacle with 4 metres high puppets! With music and light effects, syncronized  with rithmes and choreographies. To finish, Emma Luna will leave us amazed with her acrobatic dance spectacle, where she will develop two proposals: metamorfosis (methamorfosys) and sueños (dreams).

Calle Larios

Larios street will be the stage for ‘Miradas de mujer’ (Woman miracles’), an artistic proposal which looks for a feminization of the society. It claims for the equality through the culture, where we will see women miracles, painted by Ernesto Artillo. Also, the Noche en Blanco Muses, characterized as Greek muses, will interact during the whole night with the public, creating a festivity and magical environment.

Live music

Can you imagine a cultural night without music? The old chapel – Salón de Actos del Palacio Episcopal will host violin sounds with Fuerza y Sensibilidad–Notas para Ella (Force and Sensitivity-Notes for her). We change to jazz! The Cuarteto Pareja Quartet will offer a jazz session with a very personal mark at the Sala Unicaja de conciertos María Cristina.

Other musical activities will be the Nochecita en Blanco, where kids will be the stars in Tomás Heredia street. The proposal ‘Un pasado escrito en femenino’ (A past written by women’) will be also shot at the Archivo Municipal, where it will be made a review of the best female artists of the History. Some of them known, but other not at all!
