Metropole des Ganzen ist Marbella. Besucher aus der ganzen Welt treffen sich in seinen Nachtclubs, Discos, Restaurants und bei seinen Events auf der Suche nach exklusivem Ambiente und erstklassigem Service. Marbella hat all das zu bieten. Ein weiteres großes Society-Event sind die Galas der Stadt, eine Kombination aus Entertainment, Eleganz und Charity. Diese Galaveranstaltungen dienen in der Regel einem **wohltätigen Zweck,** wobei der Erlös gemeinnützigen Vereinen oder Organisationen zugutekommen. Einige davon sind international bedeutend. ## Global Gift – Preise für Helden Eine davon ist die Global Gift, eine international abgehaltene Gala der Global Gift Foundation, die jedes Jahr Marbella als einen ihrer Schauplätze wählt. Wohlgemerkt, auf gleicher Höhe wie etwa Los Angeles, was einen Eindruck vom **Rang der Stadt** in der internationalen High-Society-Szene vermittelt. Prominenz, wichtige Persönlichkeiten aller Art und strahlende Stars sind jedes Jahr bei dieser Gala zu Gast, um jene zu würdigen,  „die Bewusstsein von Kindern und mehr Entscheidungsgewalt für Frauen weltweit unterstützen“. Die Gala umfasst eine Live-Auktion, ein elegantes Dinner, Auftritte namhafter Künstler und Auszeichnungen für die herausragendsten Wohltäter. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Verleihung des **Preises „Unsere Helden”** an noch unbekannte Organisationen, die ihr Umfeld beeindrucken. Über die diesjährige Gala ist noch nicht viel bekannt, nur dass sie ebenso spektakulär wie die letzte wird, oder diese noch übertrifft. ## Antonio Banderas führt durch die Starlite Gala Eine weitere enorm wichtige Gala ist die Veranstaltung im Rahmen des Starlite Festival, einem internationalen Musikfestival vor der natürlichen Kulisse des Steinbruchs von Nagüeles, ebenfalls in Marbella. Das exklusive Ambiente, der eindrucksvolle Schauplatz und die hochrangige Besetzung ziehen neben den auf der Bühne zu sehenden weitere Stars an. Die zugehörige Gala ist ein Charity-Abend, dessen Gastgeber der **aus Málaga stammende Antonio Banderas** ist. Der Erlös des Dinners kommt Organisationen wie Lágrimas y Favores, Cudeca oder Caritas zugute. Gäste dieses exklusiven Events waren bereits Prominente wie Eva Longoria, Boris Becker, Adriana Karembeu oder der mexikanische Unternehmer Carlos Slim, der zweitreichste Mann der Welt. Außer diesen Veranstaltungen mit internationalem Ruf und Rang finden zahlreiche weitere Galas in Marbella und an der zugehörigen Costa del Sol statt. Das **Hotel Puente Romano**, das neben weiteren exklusiven Einrichtungen auch das Restaurant des Zweisternekochs Dani García beherbergt, ist Schauplatz zahlreicher Feste und Benefizgalas. Letztes Jahr fand in Marbella, und somit erstmals in Andalusien, die Gala zur **Vergabe der Michelin-Sterne** für die beste Haute-Cuisine der Welt statt.  Und diese Wahl wurde nicht von ungefähr getroffen, denn Marbella erlebt zurzeit einen enormen Boom. Wer etwas auf sich hält, kommt nach Marbella.
