Easter Week: Palm Sunday in Málaga
The Palm Sunday will take place on March 25th, when the arrival of Jesus of Nazareth is celebrated among the crowd who hailed him the Son of God. What to see on Palm Sunday? There are nine brotherhoods that will go on procession during this day: Pollinica; Lágrimas y Favores; Humildad y Paciencia; Humildad; Huerto; Dulce Nombre; Salutación; Salud y Prendimiento. With these processions will start the Easter Week, that will finish on April 1st, the Easter Sunday.
Manga fair: EsteponGo!
The Estepona manga, videogames and alternative culture fair will take place between 23rd and 25th March in the Palacio de Exposiciones of the town. The event will join Japanese comic’s lovers and will offer exhibitions, competitions and tournaments. As a new feature, EsteponGo! will have a wide zone of virtual reality at the Free Play area, and will gather some of the best voiceover actors and actresses of Spain, for example Claudio Serrano, who plays Batman’s voice and other famous characters from tv.
Poetry: Jazz y poesía bajo las estrellas
The season ‘Jazz y poesía bajo las estrellas’ (‘Jazz and poetry under the stars’) holds a new session, organized by the Centro Cultural Generación del 27, dependent on the Diputación de Málaga. In these sessions, the voice of a poet recites a selection of his work, that is alternated with the improvised music of a band. This event has been already celebrated for several years, always with a very positive support. This year the poet Ben Clark will recite his texts.
Sport: Trail Cara Los Tajos
Trail Cara Los Tajos is a frenetic race in the Sierra de Alhaurín el Grande. This year there will be three different trials, with different difficulty and distance levels. This sport event is very expected by the regional and national ‘Trail Running’s’ lovers, as the race belongs to the Spanish Mountain Races Cup. Since its first edition, it is one of the most desired competitions for this sport’s amateurs.
