The Costa del Sol offers the possibility of immersing yourself in a universe of sensations where taste and tradition go hand in hand. These are the products and typical dishes that you will find in the regions of Malaga to whet your appetite.

Axarquia

The verdial oil from Periana, the loquats from Sayalonga or the cane honey from Frigiliana show that the Axarquia is a land of contrasts, even when it comes to gastronomy. Here the best raisins, delicious wines and even tropical fruits, such as avocados and mangoes, are produced. But also typical of this region is the “ajoblanco”, a cold soup ideal to drink in spring and summer.

Costa del Sol and Malaga

The bathing season has started on the Costa del Sol and with it, the best time to enjoy the beach bars. Sit by the sea, in front of a good ration of fried fish and skewers of sardines, and you will know why the “pescaito” is the king of the table. Of course, if Malaga is your destination, don’t forget to have a plateful of Victorian anchovies.

Antequera

Antequera is the place of origin of the “porra”, a cold cream that is prepared with olive oil and vegetables from the plain. Accompany it with a glass of Mollina or Fuente de Piedra wine and a “bienmesabe” as a dessert... and you will have the perfect spring menu.

Guadalhorce Valley

Lemon and orange groves dominate much of the Guadalhorce Valley. That is why it is not strange that these citrus fruits are the star products of a region smells of orange blossom during spring.
