The First European course designed by Robert Trent Jones

Robert Trent Jones was the great architect of golf courses in the world. He lived most of the twentieth century (1906 to 2000) and among his achievements is the design of many areas of the Costa del Sol, being the Real Golf Club of Sotogrand the first one, not only on the Costa del Sol, but also throughout Europe. The innovations Robert Trent Jones contributed to this course marked a turning point in our continent. Did you know that it was the first course in Europe that had an automated irrigation system?

The field where Nick Faldo won the Open of Spain

Jose Banus (Puerto Banus promoter) founded in 1968 the New Andalusia Golf Club, now called Real Golf Club Las Brisas. Here Nick Faldo won the Open of Spain in 1987.

Designed by the great Robert Trent Jones, this course has a great aesthetic, reuniting the qualities for a truly spectacular game. Special  mention to its beautiful garden, designed by the English landscaper Gerald Huggan. Trees from all continents are represented throughout its 18 holes.

 

A royal course

It was the Spanish Royal House that built the Malaga Golf Parador in 1925, thus becoming the first course of Andalusia. With an exceptional location, visitors can stay and play golf while contemplating the vastness of the Mediterranean Sea.

 

A Midsummer Night's Green

The Costa del Sol has one of the two golf courses in the world qualified to play at night: the Dama de Noche.His name comes from an aromatic Mediterranean plant that gives off a heady scent when the sun goes down.
